(Ulaanbaatar) Dec 22, Tavan Tolgoi announced the winner of its investment bid today. TT bid working group introduced the financial proposals of two finalists, consortium of China, Japan and Mongolia and Peabody Energy.
After final reviews China Shenhua Energy, Sumitomo Corp. and Energy Resource LLC consortium were selected as the finalist for the investment project at Tavan Tolgoi coking coal deposit.
The selected will be responsible for the deposit’s investment and development. However, the ownership of the deposit will still be kept fully by the Government of Mongolia.
