President Ts.Elbegdorj is participating in World Economic Forum 2015

President Ts.Elbegdorj arrived in Davos, Switzerland to participate in 45th World Economic Forum between 21-24th of January. 

The forum was founded in 1971 and it is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

The meeting brings together some 2,500 top business leaders, international political leaders, selected intellectuals, and journalists to discuss the most pressing issues facing the world, including health and the environment.

This year, President Elbegdorj, Minister of Foriegn Affairs, L.Purevsuren, officials and media are participating in forum. 

Mongolia has attached high importance to the forum. 

Mongolia has been participating and co-organizing WEF meetings in Ulaanbaatar in 2010, 2011 and in 2014 including "Fair Mineral Development" round table meeting in 2011, "Partnering against Corruption Initiative" session, "Water Secure Future in Mongolia", "Mongolian Water Supply - Development Accelerator" in 2014. 

Mongolia has joined the WEF`s Partnering against Corruption Initiative and established Mongolian anti-corruption network in Mongolia.

Last year, Ministry of Foriegn Affairs and World Economic Forum signed a memorandum of understanding and held round table meeting titled "Strategic Dialogue on Mongolian Development" in the scope of research project on attitude and perspective of development in Ulaanbaatar. 

Yesterday, President Ts.Elbegdorj attended in the "Energy Context" and gave speech. 

Moreover, he attended an unofficial meeting with economic leaders.
