Since when the Apps contest started?
This was the second contest. Last year we organized the apps contest by oursevles, while this year we have cooperated with Mongol Content LLC.
How about the previous contestants? Are they developing their apps further? What are their future plans?
Last year we have received over 40 applications and almost 50 percent of them were placed on app stores and circulated among the users. Last year's winner was a student and we have sent him to our Headquarters in Japan for summer internship. During the competition his application was at 30 percent implementation and after his intership he completed the app and put on market.
There are two main goals for the annual Apps Contests: increase the number of the app developers in Mongolia and increase the number of Mongolian developers and introduce their apps on global markets. We are aiming to become the bridge to the global market.
What apps were winners at last year's contest?
10 applications were finalists, but all of them were game apps. Winning app was game for IQ development, while the second place app was to educate on naming the animals and their body parts.
Does the UniMedia Headquarters in Japan hold similar app contests?
As the Japan Headquarters is more focusing on the business marketing they do not hold such contests in Japan.
Thank you.
