(Ulaanbaatar) Jan 28, discussions on changing status of Nalaikh and Baganuur districts into city to be hold at 10AM today at Crystal Hall in Blue Skye Tower.
Discussions will be attended by E.Bat-Uul, Ulaanbaatar city Mayor and Capital City Governor, Yo.Gerelchuluun, Head of the Capital City Government, N.Natsagdorj, Head of the Capital City Planning Department and officials of Nalaikh and Baganuur Districts.
The public vote for change of district status to city were held on January 21st with the results:
Nalaikh: The district has population of 34,575 residents with 19,535 voting rights. The attendance at the voting was at the 62.3 percent or 12,180 Nalaikh residents participated. Out of total voters 96.1 percent or 11,708 voted for changing the status into city. While 3.1 percent or 374 residents voted against and 0.8 percent or 98 votes were void.
Baganuur: The district has population of 16260 voting rights. The attendance at the voting was at the 77,85 percent or 12659 Baganuur residents participated. Out of total voters 95,76 percent or 12094voted for changing the status into city. While 4,2 percent or 532 residents voted against and 0,1 percent or 32 votes were void.
