Today the Petition Standing Committee is discussing the issues related with the Civil Servants cut backs. In view of this event we are delivering the statistic data on the civil servants as of January1st of 2015.
There are total of 4,295 state entities operating in Mongolia, while the majority of them or 502 are operating in Capital City.
According to the statistics as of the end of 2014 total number of civil servants was 183,601, which is more by 14,153 compared with the same period of the previous year. Which was explained by the inclusion of all the employees paid from the state budget according to the guidelines delivered to State Service Council in 2015 by the National Audit Authority. According to this guidelines every employee in the State Entities are included in the count and 70,7 percent or 10,002 employees out of over 14 thousand are State Service emplyees.

Number of the positions in the State Political category hasn't changed much during the course of the past several years. The gender information is depicted in the chart below:
As we have mentioned at the beginning of the article the number of the civil servants has slightly increased. The moving change in the number of those employees through 2005-2014 is depicted in the graph below:
Everyone would be interested in the education of the civil servants as many are being targeted by their education background in some instances. The below graph depicts the education background in detail, but please note that this includes information of all the employees employed at state services.
Unified information on the civil servants is delivered by the State Service Council in the first quarter of every year to the President of Mongolia, State Great Khural and the Cabinet.
