Opening ceremony of Altanbulag-Ulaanbaatar-Zamiin-Uud highway, which is one of the mega projects to be implemented in Mongolia, was held.
At the opening of the project, Zamiin Uud soum`s Governor M.Bayanmunkh, Head of Zamiin Uud Custom Department B.Khishigbat, representatives of Council in Erlian, representatives of Zamiin Uud Free Zone, Acting Head of Erlian Road Department Luo Wei, representatives from south and north neighbors, Head of Dornogovi city council Ch.Erdenebat and other guests have participated.
Memorandum to employ national companies, increase the number of Mongolian road and construction staffs and prepare engineers and technicians was signed by Chinggis Land Development Group, Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mongolian Road Association on Wednesday.
As a result, our national enterprises and companies have opportunity to cooperate with major international corporations and participate in construction during the duration of the project.
During the construction of the road, 20-30 thousand of temporary jobs, recreation complexes, parks and 3000-5000 new jobs in sections along the road and 50 thousand jobs along with residential zones are estimated to be created.
According to the agreement, Altanbulag-Ulaanbaatar-Zamiin-Uud Highway will be constructed in three years and it will be used for 30 years.
Highway will pass through 24 soums of six aimags and two districts of the capital city and will continue along total of 990km.
