Cinéma du Désert is a group of international volunteers travelled 13.000 km to reach Mongolia by land. They work for Italian NGO Bambini Nel Deserto and screen non-verbal documentaries and animations for children for FREE all over the world.
They use a solar powered cinema which aims to use the moving image as a form of communication between cultures and as a present for isolated villages that have never seen a film in a big screen in their lives. They started this project in West Africa in 2009 and now they have arrived in Ulaanbaatar.
In cooperation with Altan Khalis Association NGO, Cinéma du Désert to screen two documentary films on weekends at Chinggis square. Moreover, they offer music and entertainment concert before the film.
