Prime Minister attended the opening of the New School Year at the 33rd school in Bayanzurkh district and addressed a speech wishing successful year for the students and teachers.
In his speech the Prime Minister emphasized the main objective of the government policy on education is the creation of Mongolian Citizen with a vision and creative mind for the better society based on the knowledge and in order to achieve this objective the Right Mongol Child program has been approved to implement the core program directed at pre-school, elementary and basic education. Moreover, the Prime Minister emphasized that every tugrug of four tugrug of the budget income is being spent on education.
Today total of 539 thousand students are attending 799 schools nationwide, of which 64,300 first graders are entering schools. In 2015 the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science has established 144 digital laboratories for biology, chemistry, math and physics classes and has enabled over 500 video tutorials for use in Mongolian language. During last year 200 laboratories were enabled for chemstry and physics classes and this year the ministry aims to establish another 200 laboratories to adhere to international standards. During this school year in the scope of the New Century Education project secondary school teachers are to be provided with 25 thousand laptops and 11,340 desktop computers are to be provided to the schools for use by students.
During the New School Year opening ceremony Prime Minister visited the Olymp Hall, chemistry classrooms and met with teachers and students.
33rd school is one of the leading schools in Mongolia is serving 3,100 students through 71 classes.
