PM of Mongolia Ch.Saikhanbileg hosted Board of Directors from European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) yesterday and discussed matters of bolstering two sides' cooperation.
EBRD commenced its cooperation with Mongolia in 2001 and has financed 17 projects and programs with 2.6 million USD as of 2014.
The bank opened its representative office in Ulaanbaatar in 2006 and since then, it has been continuously operating.
PM expressed his gratitude for the bank's support and investment in numerous private sector projects and programs.
Sir Suma, President of EBRD, expressed during his visit to Mongolia in last March that the bank is interested to advance its cooperation with Mongolia, and engage in infrastructure projects being implemented by Government of Mongolia.
Moreover, PM stated: "Mongolia is keen to partner with EBRD on mega projects such as railway construction and financing of energy projects. The country is currently working to establish infrastructure line which connects Europe with Asia. There are massive opportunities in the industry.", reported by the Press and Public Relations of Government of Mongolia.
