Numerous countries have been exercising principles of sustainable growth in their major policies and as a result, have made a significant progress in the allocation of mining revenues, reducing gap between the poor and the rich, and empowering citizens.
The sustainable growth means that a citizen of a country has equal access with fellow citizens to education, employment opportunity, healthcare system, social welfare program, major infrastructure systems and utilities (electricity, water, telecommunications etc), benefits of economic growth.
Mongolia had embodied the principles of the sustainable growth in its long-term development policies. Also, 7th issue to be discussed at current autumn session of the parliament is about "Adding the sustainable growth principles in the law of the development policies planning".
Today, more than 200 representatives from state authorities, NGOs and international organizations are attend ing "Supporting Sustainable Growth" summit being held at Main Hall of the State Palace.
At the summit, two foreign and a local representatives will deliver speeches on Mongolian and international tendencies of the sustainable growth.
