Standing Council on Preventing Earthquake Damages holds meeting

Standing Council on Preventing Earthquake Damages led by Deputy PM of Mongolia consists of 18 people. The council held its regular meeting at State Palace.

At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman of National Emergency Authority and General T.Badral informed about the earthquake which took place in areas near Gunj and Gachuurt on last Saturday.

Also, the council discussed several issues including redevelopment of earthquake disaster control plan, current implementation of 2015 work plan of the council, and the world bank's research on earthquake resistance rate of buildings in the capital city.

At the end of the meeting, Deputy PM of Mongolia Ts.Oyunbaatar assigned certain guidelines on several issues; to intensify redevelopment of earthquake disaster control plan, to present scientific research works to the public, to take certain approaches to educate the public about disaster preparation and to bring up the issue of solving seismic and earthquake testing station's financing in regards to the state budget.
