Ulaanbaatar Railway today holds the ceremony of introducing “Standard” train project, which commenced back in July. The project started with the aim to improve indoor conditions and provide pleasant travel experience to passengers.
The train with 25 wagons has been refurbished with half a billion tugrugs, with Internet networking; shower installed in bathroom and updated restaurant area.
“Standart” train is different from other trains in terms of services available, which include deliver of small-sized package, service of safe deposit box, tax order, accommodation service order, healthcare service and many others.
Ulaanbaatar railway owns 923 wagons in total and provides train services on 14 routes. The company plans to refurbish all wagons near future.
“It must be the standard in our service. Therefore, we are going to improve conditions in all wagons” said Chairman of Ulaanbaatar Railway L.Purevbaatar.
