Inarguably, any theatre director has once dreamed of directing “Romeo and Juliet” play, written by William Shakespeare. Also, every young actor and actress has an aspiration to star and preserve their youthfulness in Romeo and Juliet. Certainly, the play “Romeo and Juliet” is the one that makes you feel the beauty and joy of love.
The play was initially presented at the Dramatic Theatre of Mongolia in 1966, directed by S.Genden as Ts.Gotov as Romeo and B.Enkhtuya as Juliet starring respectively. 30 years later, the play was staged for the second time in 1996, directed by Ch.Naidandorj.
Now 19 years later, State-Honored artists and director N.Naranbaatar set to relive the play on stage starting November 12th.
General director N.Naranbaatar stated that new production has modified several scenes and omitted some acts of Romeo and Juliet to deliver the audience the 21st century version. For that the production team used modern relationship style, attitudes, culture and language.

The “Romeo and Juliet” play to be staged on November 12 - 21, 26, 27, 29 at 06PM during weekends at 07PM during weekdays.
