Khan Resources debt amount reduced to 70 million USD

A government working group led by Minister B.Bolor, visiting the USA and Canada, has successfully resolved all issues submitted to arbitrary courts regarding the  dispute between Mongolian Government and Khan Resources. A meeting took place between the government working group and Khan Resource delegates on March 6.

Thanks to the negotiations, the amount of debt was reduced from 106 million USD to 70 million USD. Before this, Mongolian government had been paying daily interest of 7,000 USD throughout a whole year, due to the dispute that has seen the faces of several cabinets.

With the full repayment of this debt, the dispute will be settled, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Kh.Gantsogt and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice J.Bayartsetseg informed PM Ch.Saikhanbileg.
