The cost of running the 2016 parliamentary and city council election has been approved as MNT 16.4 billion today at the plenary session of the State Great Hural.
Ts.Sodnomtseren, Head of General Election Commission said that election budget decreased by MNT 500 million compared to the previous year while the number of people of voting age increased by 146 thousand. Thus 2091 polling places to be established. General Election Commission tries to reduce the election budget every year.
Therefore, General Election Commission is set to spend MNT 16.4 billion on the upcoming election with the 50 MPs support out of 59 MPs.
