Mongolia won it's first Olympic quota in Taekwondo

Asian Taekwondo qualification tournament for Rio-2016 Olympic games commenced yesterday in Philippines. Mongolia was represented by Asian games bronze medalist, Aldar sports committee athlete M.Tumenbayar in 58kg and IMS P.Temuujin in 68kg divisions.

P.Temuujin, who competed in 68kg division, won against Afghanistan's legendary athlete, Olympic silver and bronze medalist R.Nekpakh and qualified for bronze medal. In the decisive match for Olympic quota, he defeated Taiwanese Jing Hao Cheng with 12-6 score. 

For the first time in Mongolia's sports history, Mongolian Taekwondo athelete will participate in Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

P.Temuujin will fight against Abughaush Ahmad from Jordan for the championship title.
