PILATES CAN DEVELOP ALL MUSCLES WITHOUT TAKING A TOLL ON YOUR BODY
Pilates is an exercise system of both physical and mental conditioning that uses resistance rather than heavy impact to strengthen, stretch and align the entire body, as well as focus the mind. Pilates is often associated with abdominal work because all the exercises are initiated from a strong center or “core” and flows outward to the extremities. However, the Pilates method is an intense full body conditioning system that is appropriate and beneficial for people of all ages and fitness levels. Pilates can be practiced on a wide variety of equipment/apparatus using resistance springs.
Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates, a physical-culturist from Germany. He studied both Eastern and Western forms of exercise including yoga.
During the first half of the twentieth century, he developed a system of exercises which were intended to strengthen the human mind and body.
In his youth he had practiced many of the physical training regimes available in Germany, and it was from these he developed his own work. It has clear connections with the physical culture of the late nineteenth century, such as the use of special apparatuses and claims that the exercises could cure ill health. It is also related to the tradition of "corrective exercise" or "medical gymnastics" as typified by Pehr Henrik Ling. Joseph Pilates, like many Germans, was interned in Britain during World War I. On the Isle of Man, he started teaching other interned Germans about pilates.
MORE THAN 100 EXERCISES CAN BE DONE AT ONE EQUIPMENT
Core Pilates Boutique Studio has capacity of eight people for once. Instructor is able to give advice and instruction to all people. They change the equipment and apparatuses to suit one`s different capabilities and features.
Instructor stated that pilates 2-3 times a week is enough to start seeing noticeable changes.
A consistent pilates practice will result in increased overall strength, strong and stable joints, reduced mental stress, decrease risk of injuries, increased endurance, circulation, and flexibility and much more.
