On April 20, 2016, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Mongolia Ina Marčiulionytė, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Mongolia Maris Selga, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Marshall Islands to Mongolia Thomas D.Kijiner, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federated States of Micronesia to Mongolia Carlson D.Apis presented their Letters of Credence to the President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj.
Ambassador of Lithuania Ms Ina Marčiulionytė congratulated Mongolia for its achievements in democratic transition and expressed belief that Mongolia will successfully organize the upcoming Asia–Europe Meeting. The President expressed hope that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the President’s Office of Mongolia will fully support her mission.

On the sidelines of the Working Visit of the President of Mongolia to Japan on May 24, 2015, a Joint Communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of the Marshall Islands was signed by the both countries.
