People older than 70 years to receive lifetime benefit

At the regular session of the Government, Prime Minister J.Erdenebat has approved draft law on elderly rights and assigned affiliated Ministries to approve the draft law at the Government session. 

The draft law includes following provisions:

  • operate elder houses in every soum, village and khoroo.  The cost for the houses will fund from local budgets. 
  • implement public housing program and mongol ger program 
  • grant lifetime benefit to people older than 70 years every half-year and will grant it quarterly in the future when the economic recovers. 

Amount of lifetime benefit for an elder is set at MNT 300-500 thousand.
