Speaker of the Parliament pays a working visit to Saudi Arabia

The working visit of Mongolian parliamentarians to the Arab states of the Persian Gulf headed by Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia Mr. Miyegombo ENKHBOLD has been conducted to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Chairman M.Enkhbold was welcomed by the Prince Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and during the meeting, the sides exchanged views of current partnership and further perspectives.

During the meeting, Chairman of Mongolian parliament noted, “Our country has actively promoted cooperation with states in the Middle East, but we deem the collaboration intensification with Saudi Arabia is required. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of leading states in the region with its economic development and capacities. Mongolia is interested to attract investment from Saudi Arabia, to collaborate in mining, construction, urban development, infrastructure and many other sectors. Moreover, cooperation between legislative bodies is also important. Mongolia is currently faced with economic difficulties and in such situation, we would like to implement joint projects and programs as well as interested to receive grant aid”.

Prince Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud said, “We would be happy to broaden cooperation with Mongolia in trade and investment. We are aware of Mongolia’s current situation and we will be considerably focus on proposes forwarded. Consequently, we will be glad to assist Mongolia in order to boost mutual friendly relations”.

Parties exchanged views of cooperation possibilities in mining, natural resources and agricultural sector, particularly in animal husbandry, meat and meat product imports as well as grain imports.
