Team Mongolia win four medals from Special Olympics World Wintergames 2017 N.Uyanga, gold medal winner of Cross Country 50M Race

As of Mar 21, Mongolian four athletes competing at the Special Olympics World Wintergames 2017 which is taking place in Austria won one gold, two silver medals and one bronze medal.  

S.Temuulen won silver medal in Snowshoeing 25m race. 

B.Oyunbileg won silver medal in Snowshoeing 100m race. 

N.Uyanga won gold medal in Cross country 50 m race classical.  

M.Gantumur won bronze medal in Cross country 50 m race classical.  

 

About 2700 athletes from 107 countries to compete for competitions in nine diciplines until Mar 26 under the guidance of 1100 trainers. 

Mongolia is being represented by 14 athletes aged 15-21 years in cross country, snowshoeing and floorhockey. 

Floorhockey team, Mongolia`s first sport team at the Olympic Games to play against 6 teams at its first section. As of Mar 20, floorhockey team of Mongolia won two games and lost two games. 

On Mar 21, floorhockey team of Mongolia is scheduled to have match against Burkina Faso which determines whether to qualify for the final.
