B.Baabar declares to run for president

A well-known columnist and political analyst, Baabar today announced that he will be running for a president. He states that I am running for a president to save our democracy, the most valuable thing of all Mongolians and I hope that I will triumph. 

However, he did not mention the political party which he will stand from. The presidential election of Mongolia 2017 to be held on June 26. 

Baabar`s career:

Baabar worked at the Microbiological Research and Production Center as a Researcher in 1981-1991 until he became the Leader of the Mongolian Social Democratic Party. He resigned as the Leader of the Mongolian Social Democratic Party in 1994.

Baabar was elected to the State Great Khural of Mongolia in 1996. In 1998, he was Minister for Finance.

After being defeated at the 2004 parliamentary election, he worked as Foreign Policy Advisor to Prime Minister in 2004-2005.

Since 2006, he has been running Nepko Publishing Company.
