On May 8, the President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj welcomed the Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh who is paying an Official Visit to Mongolia these days.
President Elbegdorj welcomed Her Excellency, the Vice President of Vietnam Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh and wishes successful visit to Mongolia.
The President of Mongolia recalled the successful visit of the Prime Minister of Vietnam to Mongolia during the ASEM Summit in Ulaanbaatar and mentioned that these high-level visits contribute to the development of mutual traditional relations and cooperation between the both countries.
The Vice President of Vietnam Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh appreciated the President of Mongolia for taking time to meet with her and expressed satisfaction at witnessing the significant progress of the mutual relationship in person and conveyed the President of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang’s sincere greetings.
The Vice President of Vietnam noted: “The friendly relations between Mongolia and Vietnam were established by Yu.Tsedenbal and Ho Chi Minh and have been maintained by our leaders until today. On the sidelines of this visit, I will work to intensify the implementation of the bilateral projects that were agreed during the previous visits and discuss further actions. This morning, I had Official Talks with the Prime Minister J.Erdenebat.
At the Official Talks, we exchanged views on security, defense, and foreign relations. We have ample opportunities to expand our relations in trade and economic sectors. Trade relations between Mongolia and Vietnam are limited. Vietnam has interest to export agricultural products including rice, sugar and seafood products to Mongolia.
Vietnam is interested in importing Mongolia’s mining and meat products and we have the willingness to enhance our cooperation in culture, education and tourism fields.
I am truly delighted that the 14th primary school named after Ho Chi Minh in Ulaanbaatar has a new building. There is an opportunity to develop mutual relations in education sector increasing student exchange. Your Excellency, the President of Mongolia visited Vietnam in November, 2013 and the Prime Minister of Vietnam visited Mongolia in 2016. The trips testify to the frequency of mutual high-level visits. On behalf of the President of Vietnam, I officially invite the President of Mongolia to visit our country. Our both countries have the opportunity to support each other in the international arena”.
President Elbegdorj said: “I’m glad that you have successfully held Official Talks with Prime Minister and other officials of Mongolia. I agree with your initiatives.
I believe that every investment and every product from Vietnam will meet the need of our people. When I was a student in the Soviet Union, I had many friends from Vietnam. I have great memories”. President Elbegdorj also conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the President of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang.
