In scope of Family Day, National Museum of Mongolia will be offering free general admission to families on May 15, in cooperation with Family, Child and Youth Development Center.
Exhibitions cover prehistory, pre-Mongol Empire history, Mongol Empire, Mongolia during Qing rule, ethnography and traditional life, and twentieth-century history. The ethnographic collection has significant displays of the traditional dress of various Mongolian ethnic groups and snuff bottles. Most exhibits have labels in both Mongolian and English.
Moreover, many rare and valuable findings from Uzuur Gyalan finds, also known as the mummy wearing Adidas is being displayed at the Temporary Exhibition Hall of National History Museum.
Working hours: Daily 09 a.m - 4.30 p.m. Closed on Monday and Sunday. From May 16, the working hours of the museum will be shifted to the summer schedule and open every day from 09 a.m to 5.30 p.m.
