Mongolian citizens living abroad voted for the next President of Mongolia in last weekend (Jun 10-11). According to the Election Law, citizens living abroad shall cast their votes 15 days before the polling day at the embassy or consulate office in person.
Nearly 140 thousand Mongolians are living in overseas. However, precisely 7209 of them were registered to vote in the presidential election 2017.
The polling was held at 45 embassies and consulates operating in 33 countries and the votes will be counted on May 26.
On Jun 13, General Election Commission to hold press session and report the participation rate.
