Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ President Kh.Battulga on Friday met with Mongolists who attended an international conference on Ganjuur studies.
The ‘Buddha’s Teaching: The Study of Mongolian Ganjuur’ academic conference took place in Ulaanbaatar on July 20. “As President, I have an intention to promote Mongolian studies”, said President Kh.Battulga who is also the Deputy President of International Association for Mongolian Studies. He was elected to the post over a year ago.
The President spoke of his vision to advance Mongolian studies abroad with Asia, Europe and the US as the major regions, and organize annual contests among international Mongolists.
S.Chuluun, Secretary-General of the International Association for Mongolian Studies introduced to President Kh.Battulga the Mongolists including Agata Bareja-Starzynska from University of Warsaw, Poland, Nakami Tatsuo from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Japan, Vesna A.Wallace from University of California, Santa Barbara, the US, Krisztina Teleki from Eotvos Lorand University, Hungary, Takashi Matsukawa, Otani University, Japan and more.
The scholars congratulated President Kh.Battulga on his election, and conveyed some suggestions and requests.
