26 officers sent to UN peacekeeping operations

ULAANBAATAR (GoGo Mongolia) - National Emergency Management Agency of Mongolia (NEMA) sent 26 officers to United Nations peacekeeping operation in South Sudan. 

The farewell ceremony was held on Aug 29 and NEMA handed over the flags of Mongolia and NEMA to J.Khash-Erdene, who serves as a leader of the team. The officers will serve for one year. 

NEMA officers have been continuously participating in the UN peacekeeping operations and since 2012, approximately 240 officers have been involved in peace support operations.
