President’s veto of state budget amendments rejected

During yesterday’s meeting of Parliament's State Budget Standing Committee, President Kh. Battulga’s veto of amendments to the 2017 state budget and a proposed 2018 state budget were discussed.

The Chief of Staff of the Office of the President, Z.Enkhbold, presented the veto at the beginning of the committee meeting. Members of the committee rejected the veto with a 81.2 percent vote against it. The committee's members agreed that the Health Insurance Fund should be under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare.
