Cabinet approved an intergovernmental agreement on rail transit transport terms between the Mongolian and Russian governments.
Minister of Road and Transportation Development J. Bat-Erdene will sign the agreement, representing Mongolia. Under the agreement, Mongolia will enjoy a tariff discount for the next 25 years for export products transited via rail through Russia to another country. The agreement also includes easing customs fees for trunk line freight, increasing trunk line and transport volume, and creating conditions for Mongolian exporters to have better access to sea transport.
