Foreign Minister pays a visit to China

Minister of Foreign Affairs D. Tsogtbaatar is paying an official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

The two ministers held official negotiations and exchanged views on the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mongolia, as well as cooperation, regional, and international issues. During the meeting, the two sides affirmed the concepts of the 1994 Treaty on Friendly Relations and Cooperation, such as independence, sovereignty, respecting territory automony, not intervening in domestic affairs, peaceful coexistence, and respecting each nation’s development path.

The ministers agreed that the frequency of high-level visits by state officials should increase, and on developing trade and economic relations between Mongolia's Development Road Program and China's One Belt One Road initiative. The Chinese side said that it is working to increase Mongolian mining exports, is focusing on resolving the Gantsmod port issue, and will create conditions to import agriculture and meat products from Mongolia.
