On December 5, Development Bank of Mongolia (DBM) and ISO Mongolia signed a memorandum of cooperation on combating corruption by introducing MNS ISO 37001:2017, anti-bribery management system standards.
MNS ISO 37001:2017 has the potential to create a system that discourages corruption, decreases risks related to corruption, and could help to improve Mongolia's international rankings in corruption assessments.
ISO Mongolia studied ISO 37001, a set of international system standards applicable to organizations at risk for corruption, and had a Mongolian adaptation of the standards approved by the Mongolian Agency for Standardization and Metrology last February.
According to state officials, the standards will help identify corruption, evaluate the risk of corruption, and can be used in all sectors to become more aware of how corruption can infiltrate an organization.
