Prime Minister U. Khurelsukh received Regional Deputy Vice President for Europe, Asia, Pacific and Latin America of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Fatema Z. Sumar on December 6, and said that he was pleased to see that Mongolia and the U.S have successfully reached an agreement on what projects will be implemented in Mongolia under the nation's second MCC compact.
The Premier noted that Mongolia is paying special attention to enhancing the capital's central wastewater treatment plant. Sumar said that MCC will be working with Mongolia's ministries to help the plant meet international standards.
After technical details for the MCC compact agreement are complete in early 2018, an agreement is expected to be signed in the first quarter of 2018.
