Deputy Prime Minister U. Enkhtuvshin attended the 16th meeting of the Heads of Government Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Sochi, Russia, which took place from November 30 to December 1.
In his statement made during the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that as an SCO observer state, Mongolia is willing to pursue multilateral cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure, transport, energy, agriculture, and finance.
U. Enkhtuvshin is also the Mongolian Chairman of the Mongolia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission, and met with officials from Russia to discuss a free-trade agreement, overcoming non-tariff barriers to increased trade, current and future commission projects, and setting the date and location of the next commission meeting.
