The assembly focused on addressing the voluntary commitments made by governments, private sector entities, and civil society organizations to attract sustainable and green financing.
Representatives from participating UN member states introduced their action plans for creating a greener planet and agreed to reduce pollution that harms public health and social and economic development, including improving the management and elimination of chemical substances that harm the environment.
Minister N. Tserenbat held meetings with foreign officials during the assembly. Researchers and professionals from the Climate and Clean Air Coalition will visit Mongolia by March 2018 to conduct research on reducing air pollution.
