J.Altanzul, a resident of Khan-Uul district, won the highest amount of the lottery up-to-date (approximately 206 thousand USD) since the start of the VAT lottery in early 2016. So far, she has registered over 500 receipts on ebarimt.mn.
Finance Vice Minister Kh.Bulgantuya presented the certificate and noted that the revised Value Added Tax law is showing positive effects on expanding the tax and base, bringing the cooperation among taxpayers and customers closer. She also mentioned that as customers demand VAT receipts more, it helped reveal and bring the shadow economy in Mongolia to transparency.
