The Mongolian National Audit Office (NAO) named 2017 the year of improving state audit legislation, policy reform, and the discipline and accountability of its employees.
The Employee Management and Development Conference was held by the NAO, and Auditor General of Mongolia D. Khurelbaatar was assigned with forming a working group to develop state audit legislation.
The working group is drafting a state audit position paper and amendments to the Audit Law. The working group has been receiving suggestions from the public online and also organizing a regular series of public discussions on changes to the Audit Law. On December 25, a public discussion was held for independent legal auditors.
