The Bank of Mongolia carried out a nationwide financial literacy program from October 2 to December 31, 2017.
Several program projects were conducted in partnership with commercial banks and state agencies, expanding the program's outreach efforts, and organizing training and discussions to raise public awareness about finance and the economy.
Through the program, it was decided that Mongolia will observe a national savings day on October 31st. The BoM has also signed a cooperation memorandum on improving the public’s financial literacy in partnership with the Microfinance Development Fund and the National Centre for Lifelong Education under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports.
