The Bank of Mongolia's Financial Customer Protection Campaign launched on January 10.
The national campaign will be implemented through May 31, carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Finance, Financial Regulatory Commission, Authority for Fair Competition and Consumer Protection, Mongolian Ipotek Corporation, Mongolian Bankers’ Association, Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Micro-economic Development Fund, and other government and non-government organizations.
The Financial Customer Protection Campaign will focus on individuals and SMEs who receive financial products and services, as well as financial service providers.
The financial products and services that will be reviewed by the campaign include methods for distributing information, consumer data protection, reviewing complaints from financial product consumers, payment security, mortgage loans, and loan information databases.
