Prime Minister U. Khurelsukh received Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov and other officials to exchange views on reforms for Ulaanbaatar Railway Joint Venture Company (URJVC), its finances, and other matters.
The premier said that a plan for developing URJVC through 2030 will be drafted and reviewed, and if approved, projects will begin in the near future.
He also noted that he wants the railway's north and east economic corridor projects to start immediately as part of establishing a Russia-Mongolia-China economic corridor. The two sides discussed establishing a 280 kilometer railway from Zuunbayan to Khangi and cooperating in coordinating a new gateway.
