After the Gashuunsukhait and Gants Mod border ports returned to normal operations, 147,600 tons of coal and 13,500 tons of copper concentrate were exported last week.
As of February 2, 410 vehicles with coal crossed the Chinese border, in contrast to more than 1,600 trucks crossing the border at its operational peak.
Gashuunsukhait Port officials reported that Oyu Tolgoi exported around 120 trucks of copper last week. The Ministry of Finance stated that the number of trucks transporting coal will be increasing, and that upgrades at Zamiin-Uud, Gashuunsukhait, Altanbulag, Shiveekhuren, and Bichigt will be financed.
