Minister of Energy Ts. Davaasuren spoke about developing renewable energy projects in Mongolia, and noted that the most pressing issue for renewable energy is cost and that a proposal for reducing expenses is being drafted.

The minister said, “Hydroelectric power has an important role in ensuring Mongolia’s energy sustainability. We made an agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on conducting a technical and economic feasibility study for Erdeneburen Hydropower, and the Eg River and Khovd River hydroelectric power plants will be discussed soon.”
