Agriculture Minister talks to the Hungarian ambassador about Biocombinat expansion

Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry B. Batzorig received Hungarian Ambassador to Mongolia Gálosfai Mihály.

The sides expressed their satisfaction with work on drafting plans for Biocombinat expansion. Working groups on both sides are holding a webinar and sharing information regularly. They agreed to finalize the document on technical upgrades for the plant in February, and to sign a loan agreement and start construction for the expansion by June.

The Government of Hungary is planning to grant Mongolia a 25 million USD soft loan to finance the expansion. The Biocombinat was established in 1973 with a grant from the Hungarian government. Mongolia expects to produce livestock vaccines domestically with the Biocombinat upgrade.
