Transparency International Mongolia presented the report to the Mongolian public on February 22, at Continental Hotel.
The CPI reflects the perceptions of experts and businesspeople regarding public sector corruption, and each country is given a rating from a scale of 0 to 100. Mongolia got a score of 36 and placed 103rd out of 180 countries ranked in the 2017 CPI.
The country received a score of 38 in 2016 and was ranked 87th out of 176 countries. According to the Transparency International Mongolia, the nation fell on the ratings within only two years.
