Yesterday, names of two children who will represent Mongolia in the Football for Friendship festival, which will take place during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, were disclosed.
One of them is Darinchuluun.E who is a forward with DMYu team and another one is Erkhes.Sh, a defensive midfielder from Mongoliin Temuulel team. They are both the leaders of the National Football Championship and both passed exams to select the participants. The exams were professionalism and written and oral English tests.
The boys will take part not just in the festival, in which athletes of more than 200 countries will participate, but also in the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Moscow.
Ganbaatar Amgalanbaatar, President of Mongolian Football Federation, presented the boys professional balls and association’s flags.
During the festival which will take place between June 3 and 18, Daruinchuluun will play as a defensive midfielder in Gorilla team. Erkhes will participate in an international children’s forum to promote Mongolia and by involving in a summer journalism training, will prepare interviews and materials on the events and Mongolian player for international media.
