The International Finance Corporation, a World Bank group organization, held its first session on best practices and principles to attract foreign investment.
Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, the National Development Agency, and Ulaanbaatar City’s Development Corporation participated in the session.
The Government of Mongolia and World Bank Group have been developing a roadmap to improve the investment climate and increase direct foreign investment. With this collaboration, both sides are working to present a report on the revised investment climate, and will make a policy recommendation to form a “Mongolia Team” for strengthening the collaboration between state organizations, and to more efficiently support direct foreign investors.
