Ministry of Foreign Affairs releases a statement on Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s (DPRK) decision to suspend its nuclear testing. The statement reads “Mongolia welcomes and congratulates the DPRK on the decision to suspend its nuclear and missile tests. This step marks an important move that is to contribute to the building and strengthening of the mutual confidence necessary for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and enhancement of peace and stability in Northeast Asia.”

People’s Republic of China to support Mongolia in Gobi bear protection as a part of a new agreement. Under the deal, the Chinese Academy of Forestry will provide technological and management assistance to Mongolia to protect its rare Gobi bears from extinction. China will also provide financial help for a three-year Gobi bear conservation project.
FIFA World Cup Trophy arrives in Mongolia.
According to Mongolian Immigration Agency, a total of 93 non-governmental agencies of over 20 countries are operating in Mongolia. Mongolian youngest athlete, six-year old Khuslen Amartuvshin becomes a world champion, claiming a golden medal in the 23 kg of the Kids-2 category at the Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Festival 2018-Kids.
