Foreign Affairs Ministry reports on Russian developments and the PM's upcoming U.S. state visit

On May 28, Minister of Foreign Affairs D. Tsogtbaatar provided a briefing on outcomes of his visits to the Russian Federation and the U.S. During his official visit to Russia from May 16 through 18, Minister D. Tsogtbaatar exchanged views with his counterpart Sergey Lavrov and other officials about advancing bilateral relations and strategic partnership.

The Mongolian side expressed an interest in expanding bilateral trade turnover by increasing Mongolian exports to Russia, and both parties agreed to conduct further research on free-trade. It was said that the Government of Russia will provide a loan of 100 billion RUB to Mongolia for investment in energy, infrastructure, and railway projects.
 
Minister D. Tsogtbaatar reported that he discussed Prime Minister U. Khurelsukh’s upcoming visit to the U.S. with government officials during his visit to the U.S. It was agreed that the cabinet leader will pay a visit to the U.S. at the end of June.
