During the regular sessions of Parliament and a meeting of the Standing Committee on Environment and Agriculture in May, amendments to the Law on Water and fees for pollution were discussed.
Parliament approved a further review of the amendments, and a working group chaired by Member of Parliament B. Saranchimeg was formed to undertake preparation of amendments for their first review. The working group organized a consultative discussion on June 19. MP B. Saranchimeg and Minister of Nature, Environment and Tourism N. Tserenbat were joined by experts and professionals in water management for the discussion.
It was agreed that the implementation of the amendments would ensure tangible contributions to reducing environmental pollution.
