Mongolia produces 170-200 tons of honey annually

On July 6, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry held an apiculture training for beekeepers, in collaboration with the Mongolia Bee Fund and Ulaanbaatar Environmental Department.

As of the end of 2017, a total of 31 entities and 397 households engaged in beekeeping. The country's honey production ranges from 170 to 200 tons annually. According to experts, Mongolia has the capacity to produce and export up to 20,000 tons of honey per year.​
