On July 10, 26 Members of Parliament submitted a request calling for an irregular session of the State Great Khural. President of Mongolia Kh. Battulga sent an official letter to Speaker of Parliament M. Enkhbold regarding his stance on the issue.
The President wrote, “In my capacity as a head of the state, I met with province and capital residents in person and listened to their concerns.
The public mentioned growing social injustice, corruption, and bureaucratic issues, and criticized actions being taken against such misconduct. Some Members of Parliament with the same view have proposed the convening of an irregular session of Parliament. Therefore, it is imperative to call for an irregular session of Parliament.”
